Noida, October 2025: The 8th Atal Bihari Vajpayee National Award for the Promotion of Art and Culture was inaugurated with grandeur and reverence during the 11th Global Literary Festival Noida 2025 at Marwah Studios, Film City, Noida. The event paid rich tribute to the late Prime Minister of India, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, an iconic leader, statesman, and poet whose legacy continues to inspire generations across India and the world.

The prestigious ceremony was graced by Mr. Sujeet Kumar Mishra, Secretary General, Election Commission of India; Dr. Prem Bhardwaj ‘Gyanbhikhshu’, Renowned Author; Dr. B. L. Gaur, Renowned Author; and Dr. Neeraj A. Sharma, Hon. Consul General of Palau. The occasion was marked by a deep sense of pride, emotion, and commitment to the ideals Vajpayee stood for—culture, unity, peace, and artistic expression.

Addressing the distinguished gathering, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chancellor of AAFT University, spoke passionately about his personal association and cherished interactions with the late Prime Minister. “Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji was not only a great leader but also a philosopher, poet, and visionary who valued art, culture, and literature as the soul of our nation. It gives me immense pride to share that this is the first national award in the country constituted in his name, honoring his unparalleled contribution to India’s cultural and literary heritage,” said Dr. Marwah.

All the dignitaries present at the event fondly recalled their memories and experiences with Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, reflecting on his humility, poetic brilliance, and his unwavering commitment to national development through peace and inclusivity.

The award, instituted by Marwah Studios and supported by ICMEI – International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry, continues to celebrate individuals and institutions contributing significantly to the promotion of Indian art, culture, and literature—values that Vajpayee ji upheld throughout his life.
