Raipur, Chhattisgarh — November 2025: The AAFT University Convocation 2025 unfolded with remarkable elegance and global vibrancy, honouring academic brilliance and creative excellence in the presence of distinguished national leaders. The ceremony was graced by H.E. Ramen Deka, Hon’ble Governor of Chhattisgarh, who presided as the Chief Guest. He was joined by Shri Tankaram Verma, Hon’ble Minister for Higher Education and Disaster Management, Government of Chhattisgarh; Padma Shri Anuj Sharma, Hon’ble MLA; and Shri Vijay K. Goyal, Chairman, Chhattisgarh Private Universities Regulatory Commission.

Dr. Prof. Sandeep Marwah, Chancellor of AAFT University and globally acclaimed media and education icon, congratulated the graduating students and highlighted the institution’s growing international footprint. “AAFT University continues to set new global benchmarks in creative education—where innovation, culture, and professionalism converge to prepare world-ready talent,” he said.

In his Convocation Address, H.E. Ramen Deka applauded AAFT University for its transformative contribution to the creative industries. He emphasized the growing global influence of cinema, media, design, and digital arts, noting their role in shaping the future narrative of nations. “Institutions like AAFT University are nurturing thinkers, creators, and leaders who will define the cultural and economic landscapes of tomorrow,” he remarked.

Shri Tankaram Verma, Hon’ble Minister for Higher Education, commended the University’s modern academic vision and its emphasis on high-end skill development. “AAFT University stands as a beacon of emerging excellence in Chhattisgarh, empowering youth to take confident strides into the international creative economy,” he stated.

Padma Shri Anuj Sharma, Hon’ble MLA, praised the University’s dedication to the performing and visual arts, adding, “Creative education, when blended with discipline and purpose, produces global achievers and cultural ambassadors.”

Shri Vijay K. Goyal, Chairman, Chhattisgarh Private Universities Regulatory Commission, applauded AAFT University’s quality frameworks and international best practices. “The University’s commitment to governance, innovation, and academic rigour is truly exemplary,” he said.

Dr. Bharat Sah, Vice Chancellor, addressed the graduates with an inspiring message of integrity and ambition, urging them to uphold excellence wherever their careers take them.

Dr. Prof. Shikha Tyagi Verma, Director, presented the Annual Report, showcasing AAFT University’s milestones, global collaborations, industry partnerships, and expansion into new creative domains. Shri Sudhir Ranjan, Registrar, extended a profound Vote of Thanks to all dignitaries, guests, faculty, and students.

The convocation witnessed the graduation of more than 600 students across diverse creative and professional disciplines including Film, Media, Communication, Design, Management, Performing Arts, and more. A proud highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of 65 Gold Medals to students who demonstrated exceptional academic excellence.

The event reaffirmed AAFT University’s commitment to nurturing future-ready innovators, strengthening India’s presence in the global creative landscape, and building bridges between education, culture, and international opportunity.
