Noida, 28th December: João Ribeirete, Director of the Portuguese Cultural Centre, was presented with the prestigious Award of Distinction for the Portuguese film “The Year of the Death of Ricardo Reis” directed by João Botelho. The award ceremony took place during the 17th Global Film Festival at Marwah Film City, Noida.

Expressing his gratitude, João Ribeirete said, “This recognition is a testament to the rich cultural and artistic heritage of Portugal. The Year of the Death of Ricardo Reis reflects our literary and cinematic tradition, and I am deeply honored to see it celebrated on this global platform.”

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the festival and Chancellor of AAFT University, applauded the cinematic brilliance of the film and its contribution to cultural dialogue. “This film is a masterpiece that beautifully intertwines history, literature, and cinema.
